operators actually

Why clients work with me
CPA with M&A Pedigree
Big 4 M&A advisory background. I've reviewed hundreds of lower-middle-market deals across services, trades, and essential businesses.
🔍
Active Searcher Myself
I run Northeast Equity Partners, a self-funded search fund. I'm doing this work on my own deals, not just yours.
Fast & Direct
Diligence sprints delivered in 5–7 days. Monthly packages with a standing call. You work with me directly, not a team of analysts.
Who I Work With

Built for operators
at the moment it matters.

I work with a narrow client base, intentionally. The people I serve are in the thick of a deal or running a business they just bought, and they need someone who understands that context without a long onboarding.

01
First-Time Acquirers
You're under LOI or approaching one on your first SMB acquisition. You have a CIM, a gut read, and a broker telling you it's a great deal. You need an independent financial read before you go deeper. And you need it fast.
02
Post-Close Operators
You just closed. The business is yours. You have an SBA loan, a bookkeeper who sends QuickBooks reports, and no clear picture of your actual cash position. You need a fractional CFO to build the financial infrastructure around you.
03
Self-Funded Searchers
You're running a search with no fund backing and no in-house finance team. You're evaluating 3–5 deals at a time and need deal-by-deal financial analysis and M&A support without a full-time retainer commitment.
Services

Three ways to
work together.

Every engagement is scoped clearly, priced transparently, and delivered directly. No scope creep, no surprise invoices, no account managers.

About

Nick Windwer, CPA

I'm a CPA with a Big 4 M&A advisory background, where I worked on lower-middle-market transactions across valuations, financial due diligence, and deal structuring. After that, I launched Northeast Equity Partners, a self-funded search fund focused on acquiring essential services businesses.

Running an active search means I evaluate 20–30 CIMs a month, negotiate with brokers weekly, and live inside the same financial analysis I do for clients. I'm not a consultant who studies acquisitions. I'm an operator actively trying to close one.

I started MW Advisory to help the buyers and operators around me who are navigating the same terrain without a finance background or in-house support. The work is direct, fast, and built on real deal experience.

A note on conflicts: I disclose my search fund to every client upfront. I do not advise on deals I'm actively pursuing, and I don't compete with clients in overlapping markets without explicit discussion. Transparency is non-negotiable.
